Too many babies are dying in Louisiana, and the evidence from nearly everywhere is that we can do better.
The 8/23/2023 Staff Editorial in The Advocate reports that “In the entire civilized world, Louisiana has among the highest rates of infant mortality.” Also, “About 458 babies would still be alive had Louisiana had the same rate as the rest of the country during that time.”
